Cougar Beach Volleyball Claims Match with Ottawa University (AZ)

The South Mountain Community College women's beach volleyball team lost 5-0 to the Ottawa University (AZ) "A" Team but defeated the OUAZ "B" Team 3-2 in a pair of matches at Scottsdale Ranch Park on April 13. In the second match, the Cougars posted wins in the top three pairs to post their fourth win of the season. 

As the No. 1 pairs, Mckenna Androsky and Kristine Garcia won their sixth match of the season in straight sets, 21-14 and 21-8. They are 6-7 on the year as the No.1 pairs. 

Madison Cadden and Emily Wilson won as the No. 2 pairs, 21-19 and 21-9, for their first win as a tandem this season. Individually, Wilson has six wins on the year while Cadden has five. 

Nikole Lunsford and Claire Burford were successful as the No. 3 pairs, winning 21-13 and 21-19. They are 1-1 on the season as a group. 

In the first match, Burford and Lunsford went to three sets against the OUAZ "A" team before falling as the No. 3 pairs.
