SMCC Women's Golf Opens 2021 Fall Season at Park U Fall Event

The South Mountain Community College women's golf team finished fourth at the Park U Fall Invite at Superstition Springs Golf Course Sept. 13-14. The Cougars improved each day, culminating with a 364 in the third round of action. Individually, freshman Kylie Rehberger finished 15th at 37-over, 253 and fellow freshmen Trixie Sabulao and Tabitha Bitter tied for 21st at 65-over, 281.

Rehberger opened with rounds of 90 and 84 and then moved up one spot on the final leaderboard after posting a seven-over, 79 in her third round. That performance included a chip-in birdie, and she finished at seven-over on the tournament's par-three holes.

Sabulao was consistent in her three rounds, carding scores of 94, 94 and 93. Bitter moved up from a tie for 23rd after posting an 89 in the third round. She opened with rounds of 97 and 95 on the first day of the event.

Freshmen Alyssa Miner placed 26th at 96-over, 312, after posting rounds of 100, 104 and 108. Sophomore Emma Fisher was the fifth Cougar to compete, and she finished 28th at 104-over, 320 after rounds of 106, 111 and 103.

The Cougars carded rounds of 381, 377 and 364 in the tournament.
