Cougar Volleyball Falls at Pima CC

The South Mountain Community College women's volleyball team lost 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-20) in an Arizona Community College Athletic Conference contest at Pima CC on Sept. 21. Mckenna Androsky posted a team-high eight kills on 16 swings, while Gabreya Garcia and Maleah Reynolds posted six kills in defeat. 

The Cougars hit .130 as a team, totaling 31 kills and 19 errors in 92 attacks. SMCC hit .036 in the first set, .115 in the second set and .211 in the third frame. 

Androsky recorded a .250 hitting percentage and added five digs, a block assist and a service ace. Garcia also hit .250 for thematch and and had a solo block and two block assists. Reynolds added eight digs, two service aces and two blokc assists for SMCC. 

Gracie Henderson had a team-high 15 assists to go witha service ace and two digs. Nikole Lunsford led the squad with 15 digs and Imani Cannon added 11, while Monet Whittier recorded a season-high five kills on 16 swings and added a dig.
