The South Mountain Community College (3-8, 1-2 ACCAC) lost 3-0 to Yavapai College in an Arizona Community College Athletic Conference contest on Sept. 7. Madison Cadden led the Cougars with nine kills and Emily Wilson added six, but the Roughriders swept the contest 25-17, 25-19 and 25-10. 

Cadden collected nine kills on 33 attacks and hit .091 for the match, while Wilson had six kills on 25 attacks to finish with a .040 hitting percentage. Wilson added eight digs and two service aces, and Cadden had two digs. 

Freshman Rylee Russell led the Cougars with 14 assists and added three kills, three digs and a solo block. Freshman Rylee Pitts had four kills and a solo block, and sophomore Imani Cannon led the squad with nine digs.
