Cougar Volleyballs Falls to Scottsdale CC

The South Mountain Community College women's volleyball team (3-6, 0-1 ACCAC) lost 3-0 to Scottsdale Community College in an Arizona Community College Athletic Conference match and its 2021 home opener. The Fighting Artichokes won in straight sets, taking the match 25-13, 25-10 and 26-24. Freshman Madison Cadden had a team-high five kills and sophomore Gracie Henderson dished out a team-high 15 assists in the loss. 

SMCC hit -.009 with 24 kills and 25 errors in 113 attacks. The Cougars hit .150 in the third set after posting negative percentages in the first two sets. 

Sophomore Nikole Lunsford led the team with 15 digs and fellow sophomore Sienna Cumbie had 13 digs. Freshman Maleah Reynolds had four kills, six digs and three block assists.
