Bio

Darren Lindner has been a volleyball assistant coach at South Mountain Community College since 2014.  An avid player and coach, Lindner has been coaching in Arizona since 1993 and his experience in physical skills, mental acumen and emotional control place emphasis on efficient movements and foresight.

Lindner started as an assistant coach at Glendale Community College in 1993 while playing for and attending Arizona State University. In his first season, the Gauchos received their first-ever bid to the NJCAA National Tournament with several more trips in the following years.  Along the way many of Darren’s athletes have received accolades at the tournament, regional and national levels in addition to earning scholarship funding.

Lindner worked as an assistant at GCC for four seasons and was the head coach for Phoenix North Valley Juniors and Arizona Juniors for 12 years. He also played in six US Adult Open Championships in addition to working camps and clinics for ASU, GCC, MCC, PC, SMCC, Xavier, and Salvation Army.  In the spring Darren supports player development for KCVA Juniors (Salvation Army KROC’s) since 2015.

Lindner received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from American Intercontinental University in 2005. He currently works for Bank of American as a fraud reporting and analytics analyst. He and his wife Mindy have been married since 2005.
