Bio

Geoffrey Herberg serves as Sports Information Director at South Mountain Community College and started in February 2020. 

Before coming to SMCC, Herberg spent 10 years as an assistant director of media relation at California State University, Northridge. An NCAA Division I insitituion in the Big West Conference, Herberg served as the SID for men's and women's soccer, women's basketball, softball, women's tennis and men's and women's indoor and outdoor track & field. He worked with five programs that earned NCAA Tournament berths: women's soccer-2012, women's basketball-2014 and 2015, softball-2015 and men's soccer-2017. 

Herberg also spent time working for Arizona Department of Economic Security in the Division of Developmental Disabilities. He worked as a publications specialist and member services representative with DDD. 

Herberg recevied his Bachelor's of Arts in Education in Secondary English Education from the University of Arizona in 2004. He then received his Master's Degree of Science in Education in Sports Studies from the University of Kansas in 2006.
