Sophomore Dominic Chacon had a big week at the plate for the SMCC baseball team as the Cougars went 4-0 in contests with Arizona Western and Phoenix College. Chacon went 4 for 6 with six runs, two doubles, a home run, and two RBIs in a doubleheader sweep of the Matadors on April 9. He followed that up by hitting a home run in both games as the SMCC baseball team swept a non-conference series with Phoenix College on April 12-13. Chacon finished the week with batting 7 for 13 (.538) with 10 runs, two doubles, a triple, three home runs, eight RBIs, and four walks. He is batting .287 with 51 runs, nine doubles, two triples, eight home runs, 29 RBIs, 48 walks, and 23 stolen bases for the season.
