The South Mountain Community College women's soccer team (0-12-1, 0-9-1 ACCAC) lost 2-0 to Yavapai College in an ACCAC soccer match at the SMCC Soccer Field on Oct. 10. The Roughriders scored a goal in each half, but freshman Litzy Valenzuela made 12 saves in net for the Cougars.
Valenzuela played all 90 minutes in goal for SMCC, making five stops in the first half and seven in the second. She faced a total of 24 shots from Yavapai College.
SMCC committed three fouls in the contest.
