SMCC Women's Volleyball Falls to Glendale CC

The South Mountain Community College women's volleyball team lost 3-0 to Glendale CC (25-14, 25-17, 25-22) in a home Arizona Community College Athletic Conference match on Sept. 17. Freshman Jalyssa Rogers tied for the team lead with eight kills and hit .583 in 12 swings, while fellow freshman Maleah Reynolds added eight kills and and seven digs in defeat. 

SMCC hit .132 as a team and compiled 29 kills and 15 errors in 106 swings. The Cougars hit .194 in the first set, .028 in the second set and .179 in the third frame. 

The eight kills set a new season high for Rogers and she added two digs and a block assist. Reynolds hit .121 on 33 swings and added a block assist. 

Sophomore Gracie Henderson posted a double-double, finishing with 10 assists and 12 digs. Gabreya Garcia and Mckenna Androsky each had four kills, while Sienna Cumbie and Imani Cannon had nine and eight digs, respectively.
