Freshman right-handed pitcher Luis Martin Romero tossed 4.2 innings of two-hit shutout baseball in relief to help lead the SMCC baseball team to a 7-4 victory at Central Arizona in game three of the Region I Division I semifinal. After working around some two-out hits in the fifth and sixth, he retired the side in order in the eighth and ninth to seal the victory. He is 5-5 with a 4.25 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 36 innings of work this season.
