Bio

Darrin Casey was named an assistant coach for the SMCC Women's Basketball team in October 2023. 

Casey is an Arizona native and has been coaching in the Valley for nearly nine years. Through multiple organizations, ranging from developmental to competitive club level, age levels 10U through 17, Coach Casey has played an integral role in developing top talent for girls basketball.

With a B.A. in Psychology (Arizona State) and  Masters in Business Administration (Benedictine University), Coach Casey uses a methodical approach to the game of basketball that challenges players and measures success incrementally.

As a co-founder of SOSIC Basketball and Vice President of Next Generation Up, Inc. (non-profit) Coach Casey promotes teaching and learning the game of basketball in a positive, structured and competitive environment.
