Cougar Men's Golf Claims Thunderbird Invitational Title

The South Mountain Community College men's golf team won the Thunderbird Invitational at Dobson Ranch Golf Course in Mesa, Ariz., on Nov. 6-7. The Cougars finished at -22 (554) over the two rounds. Freshman Dillon Dean tied for individual medalist honors at -8 (136), and freshman Dylan Kohner was third at -7 (137). 

SMCC carded identical rounds of 277 over the two days to win the event. Dean tied for the tournament title after posting scores of 69 and 67, and Kohner was one shot off after carding rounds of 68 and 69. 

Sophomore Cole Finch finished at -3 (141) with scores of 71 and 70. Fellow sophomore Ryan Blair posted a -1 (143) with scores of 72 and 71, and sophomore Brady Clark finished at E (144) with scores of 69 and 75. Finally, sophomore Luke Greig finished at +4 (148) with two rounds of 74.
