SMCC Women's Golf Competes at NJCAA Southwest District Championships

The South Mountain Community College women's golf team performed impressively at the 2024 NJCAA Southwest District Championships at Canyon West Golf Club from April 29 to May 1, hosted by Weather College in Weatherford, Texas. Sophomore Angelina Borg-Malec led SMCC with an 11th-place finish at 15-over 231, while freshmen Kasey Reichard and Lili Stutz placed 38th and 48th, respectively, over the three-day event. 

Borg-Malec opened with a 5-over 77 in the first round and a 6-over 78 in the second round. She closed with a 4-over 76 to finish at 231 and edge five competitors for 11th place by one stroke. 

Reichard tied for 38th at 44-over 260 with scores of 84, 91, and 85 on the par-72 course. Stutz carded rounds of 89, 92 and 93 to finish at 58-over 274 and place 48th.
