Bio

Mark Eggleston starts his first year as the men’s soccer head coach position at South Mountain Community College in the 2020-21 academic year. A longtime prep coach in Phoenix, Eggleston hopes to build a new tradition with the Cougars that promotes athletic and academic excellence.

In addition to his duties at SMCC, Eggleston currently serves as the girl’s soccer head coach at Williams Field High School in Gilbert, Ariz., and as a head coach in the Phoenix Rising organization.

Eggleston also spent two years as the girl’s soccer head coach at Desert Mountain High School, five years as the head coach at Hamilton High School and 10 years as the head coach of the San Tan Legacy Soccer Club. 

During his coaching career, Eggleston has been a part of four championship sides. He has mentored and developed several all-conference players and three All-Arizona student-athletes. For his work, Eggleston won the Region Coach of the Year award twice.

Eggleston received his USSF National D License in 2010, his NSCAA National Diploma in 2011 and his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma in 2015.
