SMCC Men's Soccer Falls at Glendale CC

The South Mountain Community College men's soccer team (0-2) lost 11-0 to Glendale CC in a non-conference game at Glendale CC on Aug. 29. SMCC finished with 10 shots in the match, putting nine on frame, as freshman Alfonso Maldonado led the team with three shots on goal. 

The Gauchos scored six goals in the first half and added five in the second to seal the win. Sophomore Max Melendez played all 90 minutes for SMCC and made 10 saves. 

Freshman Axtel Medrano and sophomore Conlan McCoy each had two shots on goal, and sophomore Kevin Tejada, sophomore Marco Amador, and freshman Oscar Corvera also had shots for the Cougars. 

SMCC had four corner kicks and committed seven fouls in the loss. There were no cards for either team.
