The South Mountain Community College men's soccer team (1-7-1, 1-5-1 ACCAC) lost 7-0 to Phoenix College in an ACCAC match on Tuesday, Oct. 3. Freshman Anthony Sauceda made three saves in goal for SMCC and sophomore Max Melendez added four as each played 45 minutes in goal.
Offensively, sophomore Marco Amador finished with two shots and placed one on goal. He also saw a yellow card in the match. Freshman Kevin Urias and Jilverto Velaszquez each had a shot for the Cougars.
Phoenix College scored four goals in the first half and added three in the second.
