Played in eight tournaments during the spring season ... earned Second Team All-ACCAC honors and Second Team All-Region I award ... finished at 103-over, 319 in three rounds at the 2021 NJCAA National Championship at Plantation Bay Golf and Country Club in Ormond Beach, Fla ... finished a team-best 11th and a season-best, two-round score of 177 at the Coyote Lady Classic on April 17-18 at Las Colinas Golf Course ... placed eighth at the Estrella Mountain Women's Invitational April 2-3 at Sundance Golf Course in Avondale ... carded a 45-over, 189 to place 10th at the Paradise Valley Invitational at Wildfire Golf Course. 

2019-20

Verdugo played in several tournaments for the Cougars during the spring season ... finished 17th at the Chandler-Gilbert Invitational after a strong first round ... placed 10th at the Mesa CC Women's Invitational, carding three pars and five bogeys in the second round ... posted a ninth-place finish at the Scottsdale CC Women's Invitational, recording a birdie and four pars in her second round ... earned First Team NJCAA All-Academic Student-Athlete honors.

Lettered in golf ... also a member of the school Dance Company Team ... member of the Young Hispanic Leaders of America ... helped in special needs classrooms ... graduated in 2019. 

Personal 

Daughter of Mariam Varela and Roberto Verdugo ... has one brother, Sebastian ... favorites include pasta, "Mama Mia," Viktor Howland the Chicago Cubs ... lists her parents as her personal heroes because they have taught all I know and they are her biggest supporters.
