Cougar Women's Soccer Falls at No. 5 Pima CC

The South Mountain Community College women's soccer team lost 7-1 to No. 5 Pima CC in a non-conference match in Tucson on Saturday, Aug. 26. Freshman Keyla Garcia scored the first goal of her Cougar career and sophomore Lucy Millan made 24 saves in net as SMCC battled with the nationally ranked Aztecs. 

Garcia scored unassisted in the 33rd minute of action, and she finished with two shots in the match. Freshmen Keiry Fonseca and Gabriella Andre also had shots in the contest. 

Millan made 24 stops in 90 minutes, raising her season total to 32 saves in just over 158 minutes of action. 

SMCC returns to action on Tuesday, Aug. 29 with a 5:30 p.m. match at Glendale CC.
