SMCC Beach Volleyball Battles with Ottawa University (AZ)

The South Mountain Community College beach volleyball team squared off with Ottawa University (AZ) in a pair of matches on Mar. 22 at Scottsdale Ranch Park in Scottsdale, Ariz. The Cougars fell 5-0 to the OUAZ A Team and battled to a 3-2 loss against the Spirit B Team.

In the second match of the day, Madison Cadden and Nikole Lunsford posted a 21-14, 21-16 victory as the No. 2 pairs. Emily Wilson and Sienna Cumbie added a win as the No. 3 pairs, capturing the match 21-16 and 22-20.

Cadden and Lunsford are 3-4 on the season as the No. 2 pairs, while Wilson and Cumbie are now 4-2 as the No. 3 pairs. 

Mckenna Androsky and Kristine Garcia lost in three sets as the No. 1 pairs in the B match: 21-16, 22-24, 15-5.
