SMCC Beach Volleyball Sweeps NAU Club Team

The South Mountain Community College beach volleyball team defeated the NAU Club Team 3-2 twice in a pair of matches on Mar. 24 at Kiwanis Park in Tempe, Ariz. The Cougars' No. 3 pair of freshmen Nichole Gary and Rylee Pitts won twice on the day to improve their season record to a team-best 12-7. 

Freshmen Alexa Wasil and Emee Fellens won in straight sets in the first match on the No. 4 court, taking the dual 21-14 and 21-11. Other winners on the day included freshmen Hayden Rosales and Shandi Allison on the fifth court in match one, and Hannah Van Winkle and Wasil on the fifth court in the second match.
