SMCC Beach Volleyball Falls to Mesa CC

The South Mountain Community College beach volleyball team lost 4-1 to Mesa CC in a dual match at Gene Autry Park in Mesa, Ariz. Freshmen Rylee Pitts and Nichole Gary won a three-set thriller on the No. 3 court to score the Cougars' lone point of the day. 

Pitts and Gary improved to 14-8 on the season, all as the No. 3 pairs, with a 15-21, 21-13, 15-4 victory. The Cougars' No. 5 pairs, freshmen Emee Fellens and Shandi Allison, fell in three sets after winning the first: 17-21, 21-18, 15-9. 

SMCC fell in straight sets on the first, second and fourth courts.
