The South Mountain Community College women's basketball team lost 57-41 to Scottsdale CC in an ACCAC contest on Feb. 28. Freshman Carissa Collier grabbed a season-high 14 rebounds, eight of which came on the offensive glass, and scored seven points, and freshman Chloe Wiley scored nine.
Sophomore Hailey Connor led SMCC with six steals and added four points, two assists, and four rebounds. Wiley added four rebounds, two steals, and one assist.
Freshman Valery Velazquez scored six points off the bench, and freshman Janae Byrd had four points, three rebounds, two assists, and three steals.
