SMCC Plays to 3-3 Draw with Gateway CC on Sophomore Day

The South Mountain Community College women's soccer team played to a 3-3 draw with Gateway CC in an Arizona Community College Athletic Conference on Oct. 18. Trailing 2-0 after eight minutes, the Cougars fought back to tie the match at halftime and rally to tie the game again in the 79th minute to defend home field on Sophomore Day.
Madai Seperich Scores for SMCC Women's Soccer vs. Mesa CC

Freshman Madai Seperich scored in the 72nd minute for the South Mountain Community College women's soccer team in a 3-1 loss to Mesa CC on Oct. 11 in an ACCAC match. Freshman Kayla Garcia picked up an assist on the play and Jordan Whitaker made eight saves in net for the Cougars.
SMCC Women's Soccer Team Falls to Phoenix College

The South Mountain Community College women's soccer team lost 13-0 to Phoenix College in an ACCAC home game on Oct. 8. Jordan Whitaker made 14 saves in goal for the Cougars over the 90 minutes.

The South Mountain Community College women's soccer team lost 12-0 at Scottsdale CC on Oct. 1 and defeated Glendale CC 3-2 on Oct. 4 in a pair of ACCAC matches.
SMCC Women's Soccer Falls at Paradise Valley and Yavapai College

The South Mountain Community College women's soccer team lost 5-0 to Paradise Valley CC on Sept. 20 and 12-0 to Yavapai College on Sept. 24 in a pair of ACCAC matches. Freshman Jordan Whitaker had seven saves in the loss to the Pumas.
SMCC Women's Soccer Team Falls to Arizona Western, Pima CC and Cochise College

The South Mountain Community College women's soccer team lost 20-0 to Arizona Western College on Sept. 10, 7-0 to Pima CC on Sept. 13 and 8-0 to Cochise College on Sept. 17 in ACCAC matches. Freshman Jordan Whitaker had 23 saves against the Aztecs and added five stops against the Apaches.
SMCC Women's Soccer Downs Glendale CC 5-0

The South Mountain Community College women's golf team (1-2) defeated Glendale Community College 5-0 in a non-conference contest at SMCC on Saturday, Sept. 3. Freshman Kayla Garcia netted a pair of goals, both coming in the first half, and freshman Jordan Whitaker made six saves in net as the Cougars posted their first victory since the 2019 season.
