Sophomore Sarah Potter returns to the SMCC softball team in 2024 after helping lead the Cougars to the 2023 NJCAA Division II World Series last season. An outfielder and designated player, Potter appeared in 50 games and batted .323 with 37 runs, 43 hits, four doubles, eight home runs, 33 RBIs and 21 walks. She scored the game-winning run in the Region I Championship victory over Phoenix College, and had a season-high four hits and four RBIs in a win over Dakota County Technical College.
