Bio

Marissa Carafa joined the South Mountain Community College athletic department as an assistant athletic trainer in January 2021. 

Carafa comes to SMCC having received her Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training in 2020 from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. She is currently attending A.T. Still University to earn a Master's of Science in Athletic Training. 

Carafa has also worked at the Banner Sports Medicine and Concussion Center since August 2020 and as an Athletic Trainer for AT Direct Sports Medicine since November 2020. 

She also completed an ATEP externship rotation with the Lafayette College Sports Medicine Division I football team and Rehabilitation Clinic.
